This is a pattern for a handknit sweater for a horse-loving seven year old child.

The front and back are almost identical. Two horses are nuzzling together in a grassy field underneath two apple trees. On the front the apples are red and ripe; on the back the apples are still green and growing. The mirrored sleeves show each horse rearing. There are two trims at the wrist and hem: one of gold horseshoes on blue and one of red roses on periwinkle. The neck, wrists, and hem trim is alternating stripes of red and variegated blue. Obviously the horses and apples can be any color you like!

Pattern has written directions, materials lists, and full color charts to enlarge. The pattern assumes a good knowledge of knitting, or at least an adventurous spirit and a knitting guidelines book. Obviously other color combinations are possible. Have fun!
