This is a pattern for a hand knit sweater for a mermaid loving three year old child.

This is a Mermaid sweater in a simple turquoise color way. Here is a solitary mermaid, surrounded by fish. She pokes her head above the swirling waves and the scrolling wind. The front and the back are nearly identical. The front neck closes with a clasp, though there is also an option for a regular crew neck.

The sleeves are mirrored, with rows of lighter turquoise fish in the darker turquoise sea. The wrists and hem trim is various coral-colored fish against a teal background. The neck trim mimics the shoulder trim of simple coral colored stars on teal. There is a swirly lace pattern at the hem in a different turquoise.
