This is a pattern for a Totoros sweater for a four year old child.

On the front the blue and white small Totoros run down the path, past flowers and grass and trees in the background. On the back the large grey Totoro is waiting at the bus stop under a red umbrella. The identical sleeves show several little white Totoro ears peaking from the grasses. At the wrists and hem are three trim patterns: one of black soot spirits on green, one of white dots on red, and one of red and black ladybugs on green. The neck trim is white dots on red, trimmed in black. There are two options for finishing the hem, sleeves, and neck trim: eyelet or fold-over. The Totoros require sewn-on eyes that might be a hazard for children under three.

This pattern has written directions, materials lists, and full color charts to enlarge. The pattern assumes a good knowledge of knitting, or at least an adventurous spirit and a knitting guidelines book. Obviously other color combinations are possible.
