Knitting Pattern: Tractor Seven Years
Knitting Pattern: Tractor Seven Years
This is a PDF instant file.
This is a pattern for a handknit sweater for a farm-loving child.
The front depicts a red tractor with a haybale attachment. The back shows the haytruck loaded with rectangular bales, again in shades of red. The background shows apple trees and blue sky. The sleeves mirror each other, showing one cow, black and white, under the apple tree again. The apples are ripe and red. The trim is a pattern of various tools (shovels, rakes) against a dark blue background. The neck and hem are a trim pattern of red and variegated blue stripes, folded over and sewn down inside. The sleeve ends are the same stripes of red and variegated blue.
Pattern has written directions, materials lists, and full color charts to enlarge. The pattern assumes a good knowledge of knitting, or at least an adventurous spirit and a knitting guidelines book. Obviously other color combinations are possible. Have fun!

My patterns are meant to be knit fearlessly, changing details as desired. You can omit background details to simplify the picture, or you can change colors freely to suit your intended recipient.
I do have a strange gauge for the size needles I use, so IT IS CRUCIAL that you match the gauge to your own knitting style. Have fun!
