This is a pattern for a hand knit traditional style sweater for an eleven year old child.

The main image is of two Viking ships facing each other in the sea with a large four sided star design above. The sky is filled with stars or snowflakes, whichever you prefer. The background is periwinkle and the details are white. The front and the back are the same. On the mirrored sleeves the design is similar, with one Viking ship and half a star. At the wrists and hem is a design of Vikings wearing brown clothes and grey and white Viking helmets against a sky blue background. The neck, wrists, and hem are trimmed in dark blue and variegated red stripes.

Pattern has written directions, materials lists, and full color charts to enlarge. The pattern assumes a good knowledge of knitting, or at least an adventurous spirit and a knitting guidelines book. Obviously other color combinations are possible.
